Your Birth Package
This is your birth and I will support you however and where ever you choose to give birth. I am within easy reach of Tunbridge Wells, The Conquest and Eastbourne Hospitals and the midwife led Birthing Centres in Crowborough and Maidstone. I can also travel to other hospitals - please contact me so we can discuss your individual requirements.
If you are planning a home birth, during the on call period I will always be within 1.5 hours of your home.
I offer a free one hour consultation so we can discuss your needs and how I can best support you in late pregnancy and labour.
Your Birth package then includes:

2 Antenatal visits. These will usually last around 2 hours where we can get to know each other, talk through your birth choices, comfort measures, etc. We will also talk through your hopes and fears for your labour and I can help you draft a birth plan/preferences if you would like to have one.

Use of my birth and baby books.

I will be on call exclusively to you, usually from 38 to 42 weeks. During this time I will not be further than 1.5 hours away from you.

When your labour starts I will join you whenever you feel you need me.

During labour I will offer practical support (eg suggesting positions, relaxation techniques etc), compassion and encouragement to you and your birth partner.

Once your baby is born, I will stay with you until you and your baby are settled and content.

One follow up visit. I will come to your home where we can talk though your birth experience, discuss how you are feeling, how your baby and family are doing and provide you with any further information you may need
